About the founders

The Point Christian Academy (PCA) was founded in August 2015 by Travis and Amiee Pope.  PCA is a small, privately owned, operated and funded, Christian school. We pride ourselves on providing students with high quality, Christian education that is specific to their individual needs. We firmly believe that effective education takes place when there is a strong school & family covenant. Students learn best in an environment that fosters a positive relationship with teachers and parents. Furthermore, we believe that while the basic school subjects (such as reading, math, science, history and grammar), which we teach daily, are important to a child’s education; true learning can not take place without teaching children about God simultaneously.

The mission of The Point – Christian Academy is to serve as a partner with Christian parents in providing an excellent education consistent with biblical truth. We are committed to providing an affordable and accessible Christ-centered education. Even though knowledge is factually the same for the believer and unbeliever, no subject can be taught in its truth if the Originator is ignored. Recognizing that spiritual truths are spiritually discerned, only teachers who have personally accepted Jesus Christ as their Savior and Lord can possibly teach in a way pleasing to God. Consequently, only a Christian school with born-again teachers can give a child the education God expects in keeping with His instruction in Proverbs 22:6, “Train up a child in the way he should go; and when he is old, he will not depart from it.” Our entire school program is designed to help parents fulfill this command of God. Parents with these same educational and spiritual expectations for his/her child will find The Point – Christian Academy to be an invaluable part of their child’s Christian upbringing.
What do our colors mean?

 

Red
Jesus Christ shed his blood and died for your sins so we may be saved and have eternal life.
 

Blue
God will continue to bless us with hope, healing, and strength to overcome all the trials and temptations of the world today. The Holy Spirit has been given to us for comfort and conviction to remind us of the sacrifice Jesus made for our sins and the home Jesus has prepared for us.
 

Gold
A reminder of the forever presence of Gods glory and we are constantly being “refined by fire”. God will be the final “Reigning King” and we will forever be his treasured Gold refined by him.
