About the scholarship


The Opportunity Scholarship Program expands school choice in North Carolina through scholarship grants for eligible children in kindergarten through 12th grade. This program provides funding of up to $4,200 per year for eligible children who choose to attend a participating nonpublic school. The application opens each year from February 1st - March 1st.

The Disability Scholarship and Education Savings Account (ESA) provides funding of up to $8,000/$9,000 per year for students who have documented medical disability. The application opens each year from February 15th - March 15th.

How to apply

 

  • Click on the (green) K-12 Grants Tab on the top of the page below.

  • Click on "Opportunity Scholarship"

  • Find where it says "New Applicants" and there is a link to the application there.

  • Be sure to select "The Point Christian Academy" as your school of choice when promoted during the application.

 

If you are already receiving the grant and you want to re-apply for the upcoming school year, you will follow the same steps but you will indicate that you are re-applying during the application process.
